In the third quarter of 2024, the News and Magazines category on the Android platform in Greece showcased diverse trends across the top 5 applications. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps exhibited varying patterns in downloads and active user metrics.

Google News - Daily Headlines from Google LLC saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, beginning the quarter at around 400 and dipping to as low as 169 before rising again to 211 by the end of September. The app experienced a decline in weekly active users from approximately 211K to 148K over the same period.

daily.dev - stay up to date maintained a relatively steady trajectory in its weekly downloads, starting at 139 and closing the quarter at 278. Active users for this app increased significantly, starting at 221 and peaking at 529 by the end of September.

ERTNEWS showed a decline in weekly downloads from 233 to 141 over the quarter. Despite this, the app did not report its weekly active users, which leaves a gap in understanding its user engagement.
